Greg has primarily worked in matters such as divorce proceedings, property settlements and residence and contact applications.
He also works as an Independent Children’s’ Lawyer in the Family Court and is a Child Representative in Care and Protections proceedings.
His aim is to help clients see the bigger picture, by providing them with informative advice which enables them to move forward with their lives.
Career Summary:
Greg was admitted as a solicitor in 1975. Prior to being admitted, he worked with the Magistrates Courts Service of the Queensland Justice Department for 11 years as clerk of the court.
Greg commenced work in private practice in 1976 in Tully. In addition to private practice, Greg was a senior solicitor for 7 years at Legal Aid Queensland in Mackay where he undertook only family law work.
He has been an active member of the North Queensland community. His involvements include:
• Providing assistance to the Queensland Police Service in training of police officers in regards to domestic violence;
• Committee member of the Mackay Childrens’ Contact Centre;
• Member of the Northern registrar’s Child Support Advisory Panel; and
• Committee member of a crisis housing organisation in Mackay.
Since joining McKays in March 2010, Greg predominantly specialises in family law matters including child protection and domestic violence.
