Kelly currently specialises in commercial work. She has extensive experience in rural conveyancing, the sale and purchase of businesses and commercial properties, preparation and review of leases, review of franchise agreements and bank guarantees.
Career Summary:
Kelly is an associate for the Mackay office. Kelly was admitted as a solicitor in 2000 and commenced her career in Mackay with Barry, Beaverson & Stenson which subsequently merged with McKays in 2002. At this time Kelly worked closely with Andrew Coates and Mark McGrath focusing on commercial property, development and business conveyancing matters.
Kelly left McKays in 2006 on maternity leave to start her family and now has two children. Whilst on leave she went on to own and operate her own local business and then she was employed by a prominent land development company.
Kelly now has over 10 years experience as a solicitor, and with those legal skills (with her life experiences as a mother and business woman) means that Kelly brings to McKays her invaluable experience to assist McKays' clients with their commercial and business legal needs.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Law (James Cook University)
• Admitted as a Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland
• Admitted as a Solicitor to the High Court of Queensland
